Electra Hotels to Open 5-star ‘Metropolis’ in Athens

This summer, Electra Hotels will open its new 5-star hotel ‘Metropolis’ at the former Education Ministry on Mitropoleos Street in Athens.

ELECTRA10Located very near to Syntagma Square, the Electra Metropolis Hotel will have a unique atrium at the centre of the hotel‘s building and 223 guestrooms, including 19 suites and 18 family rooms.

According to Electra Hotels, its “Metropolis” unit will offer guests a “personalized stay with a pure Greek hospitality approach, based on Electra core values”.

All rooms and suites will include wooden floors, sound proof windows and WiFi Internet connection, while all superior rooms and suites will have views of the Acropolis.

The Electra Metropolis Hotel will have a fitness center, SPA with four massage treatment rooms, hamam bath, sauna, indoor swimming  pool, outdoor pool with an outstanding view on the hotel’s rooftop.

The new hotel will also provide spaces for business events. Five naturally lit function rooms (from 10 – 60 people) and one medium size conference room which can be fit up to 150 people on theatre style, all with state of the art audio–visual equipment and experienced personnel, are available.

In addition, a thematic restaurant will operate on the lobby level and a restaurant and bar will be located on the 10th floor with a spectacular view of the Acropolis.

The Electra Metropolis Hotel is expected to open at the end of June.
