Turkish Airlines Offers Passengers Special ‘Journey’ to Benaki Museum in Greece

Turkish_Airlines_Official_Airlines_Sponsor_Benaki Turkish Airlines’ passengers to Greece can now experience a journey in Greek culture at the Benaki Museum with just their boarding pass and one euro in hand.

The special offer follows the recent announcement that Turkish Airlines has become the “Official Travel Sponsor” of the Benaki Museum.

“Our airline not only carries passengers to more than 280 destinations in 113 countries but also carries and promotes cultural experiences and strengthen ties between people of the world”, said Alp Yavuzeser, Turkish Airlines Athens General Manager. Turkish Airlines has been operating in Greece for the past 69 years.

The new cooperation will enhance the visibility of the Benaki Museum exhibition activity abroad, working in parallel as a gateway to Greek civilization for all passengers of Turkish Airlines visiting Greece.

According to the newly appointed Director, Olivier Descotes, the importance of the strategic partnership “will allow the museum to be able to achieve its goals in terms of extroversion in Europe and in the world.”

BenakiOne of the most active museum institutions in Greece, the Benaki Museum uniquely “narrates” the story of Greek culture by bringing it in dialogue with other cultures of the world.

The Benaki Museum comprises six museums, five archives and an extensive library, over 500,000 objects of art covering the entire spectrum of Greek art (from prehistoric times to the present day), as well as European, pre-Columbian, African, Chinese and Asian, Islamic arts.

Furthermore, the Museum preserves and displays rare works and documents relating to photography, architecture, history, theatre, music, literature and childhood.
