Mediterranean Panorama

With years of experience in the promotion of Greece to the Scandinavian market, tourism consultants North Events will be organizing the 1st Mediterranean Panorama at Stockholm’s Stockholmsmässan expo center on March 18-19, 2017.

Aiming to become the largest and most dynamic tourism event in Scandinavia, the 1st Mediterranean Panorama will include the Stockholm Travel Week initiative, details of which will be announced in the coming months.

Tourism, gastronomy and culture will be the focus of the new project which will include a weeklong series of events and happenings on March 13-19 across Stockholm promoting Mediterranean destinations — including Cyprus, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Malta, Croatia, Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Israel — and their offerings.

North Events is in effect taking its successful Grekland Panorama project — which has been promoting Greece to the Scandinavian market in the past years — to the next level, incorporating other Mediterranean destinations in the event and re-naming it into “Mediterranean Panorama”.

“In view of the fact that the Swedish market lacks a major international tourism exhibition and spurred by local tour operators and the interest of other Mediterranean destinations, North Events wishes to utilize this great business opportunity and attempt to strategically fill in the ‘gap’ combining the expertise and special characteristics of the Grekland Panorama with the needs and demands of the market,” North Events GM Leonidas Babanis says of the new initiatives.

North Events will also be organizing the 1st Greek-Serb conference on tourism in Belgrade on October 24 and the 2nd Grecka Panorama in Warsaw on December 2-4. The company will also focus on attracting visitors to Greece from the 55+ group from Sweden and Denmark and will hold targeted “senior” tourism fairs in Stockholm (October 18-20, 2016), Gothenburg (March 14-16, 2017) and Malmo (April 26-28, 2017).
