During the recent, annual Ermis Awards ceremony, an institution established in 2002 by EDEE (Hellenic Association of Advertising-Communication Agencies) to reward creativity in Marketing and Communications in Greece, Athens Airport received the Gold Award for “Branded Entertainment & Content” in the category Use or Integration of Printed Content and the Silver Award for “Direct” in the category Direct Marketing / Business to Business. The actual mystery novel, “Lost & Found. An Aθenian story” was especially written for the airport, as a creative and innovative way to send its key messages to the airlines in 2016. “Our campaign’s double distinction with the Gold and Silver Ermis awards, honors our choice for novelty, innovation and creativity, in the field of airport marketing,” said Ioanna Papadopoulou, Director, Marketing and Communications of AIA. “Our novel, ‘Lost & Found. An Aθenian story’, expresses the airport’s ongoing aim to consistently support our airline partners in the Athens market, and to enhance the attractiveness of our destination,” she added. The campaign “Aviation marketing delivered in a novel way” was created in cooperation with advertising agency J. Walter Thompson Athens.
