B2B events NOSTOS Forum 2017 to Focus on Alternative Tourism, Sustainability by GTP editing team 10 October 2017 written by GTP editing team 10 October 2017 0 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 56 Only a few days to go until the NOSTOS Forum 2017, due to take place on October 13 in the town of Nafpaktos in Etoloakarnania as part of the NOSTOS 2017, an exhibition dedicated to alternative forms of tourism. Aiming to inform, educate and encourage the exchange of ideas, the NOSTOS Forum 2017 will host organizations, academics and tourism professionals. Among the confirmed speakers is Mihalis Kavaratzis, Associate Professor of Marketing, Leicester University; Theodore Metaxas, Assistant Professor of the Department of Economics, Univeristy of Thessaly and Jordan Liane representing the European Ramblers Association – Deutscher Wanderverband. The forum’s speakers also include representatives of companies with a long experience in alternative forms of tourism, the organizers said in an announcement. The main objective is for the forum to showcase and promote best practices, research and trends in tourism’s most dynamic sections, in order to achieve sustainability. NOSTOS 2017 Expo Organized for the second year in a row by the Municipality of Nafpaktia, the NOSTOS 2017 Expo will take place between October 13 and 16, and aims at becoming a meeting point for tourism professionals active in the Mediterranean region and Southeastern Europe. Moreover, its objective is to constitute a cooperation and networking platform for individuals and organizations interested in the new tourism trends, with B2B meetings scheduled to take place between hosted buyers from Greece and abroad, local entrepreneurs and representatives of Greece’s regions. According to the organizers, more than 40 hosted buyers have confirmed their participation in the NOSTOS 2017. Among the events scheduled to take place is also the NOSTOS Food Tourism, which will focus on gastronomy and Greek cuisine. The NOSTOS 2017 is taking place under the auspices of the Ministries of Tourism; Interior; Shipping and Island Policy; Culture and Sports; the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE); and the Greek Confederation of Tourist Accommodation Enterprises (SETKE), among other organizations.
