Titled “Taste of Athens”, the event brings together the Greek capital’s best chefs, restaurant, food and drink brands, while offering guests the chance to discover the city’s finest food offerings through immersive experiences. Whether it’s cooking lessons by world-class chefs, wine tastings, cocktail preparation classes or simple samplings, Taste of Athens invites all to participate in the celebration, have a picnic on the SNFCC great lawn area, relax, indulge and mark the end of summer and the start of fall. “Starting in London, and having spread around the globe with a total of 21 festivals, we are glad to add Athens to our platform,” said Justin Clarke, SVP & Managing Director of Culinary, IMG, organizers of Taste events. “Taste of Athens is the latest festival to become a member of the Taste Festivals family. Τhe world’s leading gastronomic event for the past 15 years, Taste is always trying to inspire people who love food, drink and restaurants,” Clarke added. Twelve top-notch Athens restaurants (some with Michelin stars) will be preparing special tasting menus on the spot featuring their signature dishes with products straight from Athens’ central market. Besides the dozens of food and beverage (F&B) kiosks, parallel events include Τaste Theatre and World Class Cocktails at Home, while deejays from En Lefko 87.7 will be playing special day sets. Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center Taste of Athens opens on September 27 and runs through September 30. Tickets to either noon-4pm or 6.30pm-10.30pm events at 15 euros include admission and a welcome drink. VIP tickets at 45 euros, include fast lane admission, VIP Lounge access, welcome champagne & oyster treat, exclusive cocktail bar, special pop-up events, sponsor happenings and free parking. A 20 percent discount on ticket price is offered for Alpha Bank Mastercard card users. Special offers for groups. Admission for children up to 6 is free.
