Cosmorama Travel Supports ‘Arcturos’, Protects Greece’s Wildlife

Athens-based agency Cosmorama Travel is taking action to save forests and protect wildlife, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

According to an announcement, Cosmorama in consideration for the environment has decided to stop printing in order to save trees. The company will allocate a portion of printing expenses to support the activities of Arcturos, a Greek NGO focusing on the protection of wildlife and natural habitat in Greece and abroad.

Within this framework, Cosmorama has adopted three wild animals that are currently living in the shelter of Arcturos in Florina, northern Greece: A brown bear named Barbara, a wolf named Raul and shepherd dog Zefyros. This means that Cosmorama will be covering the feeding expenses of the three animals for the next two years.

“We have traveled to almost every forest in the world. We have breathed and listened; smelled the air; seen the colors; touched the natural beauties and loved the creatures that live in forests. Now, the time has come for us to do something for them,” said Maria Kavadia, marketing manager at Cosmorama Travel.

The company will also replace its printed material with electronic brochures, in order to contribute to the protection of trees, forests and the planet.

Cosmorama was founded in 2002 in Athens and operates in all the important fields of tourism including domestic, inbound and outbound travel services, MICE and cruise.
