Planet Physics, the first and only interactive science center in Greece, recently opened its doors in the area of Vrilissia, north of Athens’ city center.

The center has been created by physicists, who have a passion for physics and natural sciences. Its designers have been inspired by international science centers from all over the world.

The state-of-the-art facilities cover more than 1,000 square meters, providing visitors with the opportunity to learn everything about physics in an interactive experiential way, under the guidance of specialized staff.

The Planet Physics Exhibition features 30 interactive exhibits, some of which are unique in Southeastern Europe. They are divided into thematic sections, in line with the latest trends in museology and education.

“The exhibits aim to challenge the senses and perception of visitors by contradicting common intuition. By observing them, visitors get a vivid feeling of discovery, while information is provided in a funny memorable way,” the center’s management said in an announcement.

Furthermore, Planet Physics offers educational programs for groups, adjusted to all ages and levels of education, as well as numerous activities and experiments that turn a simple visit into a life changing experience.

The center’s experiments cover a wide range of topics in physics and take place in fully equipped laboratories, with the assistance of experienced specialized staff.

“The goal of our unique venue is to make physics comprehensible and amusing for all ages, and promote interactive activities as an effective way of learning, while respecting the needs of visitors,” management said.
