People In Memory of Colin Chisholm by GTP editing team 1 March 2019 written by GTP editing team 1 March 2019 1 comment Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 22 The Greek Travel Pages (GTP) extends its sincere sympathy and condolences to the family, friends, and former colleagues of retired journalist Colin William Chisholm, who passed away on February 28 in Athens at the age of 73. Colin was born in Nova Scotia, Canada, on May 12, 1946. A long-time staff member of GTP, Colin reported on the Greek tourism sector from April 1, 1987 until his retirement on June 30, 2006. We are grateful for his years of service and have many great memories of him. He was kind, honest, highly professional and always managed to see the bright side of things. “Everyone who knew Colin and worked alongside him will remember him with great affection. Because it’s the people that really matter and colleagues like Colin are something very special; you don’t come across many of them and when you do, they leave a lasting impression. Even after his retirement in 2006, Colin never forgot to visit us at the office, always bringing back memories from all the years we spent working together. Integrity and professionalism are virtues that will always accompany his name. Colin, we’re really going to miss you,” said GTP’s publisher, Maria Theofanopoulou. He is survived by his wife Areti, and daughter, Jean. Follow GTP Headlines on Google News to keep up to date with all the latest on tourism and travel in Greece.
