The hotel’s renovation started in 2015 with the revamp of the guest rooms’ bathrooms and continued in 2018 with the addition of two new room types: the Junior Suite Garden View and the Double Room Garden View. The project was completed in April 2019, following renovation works in the hotel’s rooms and the launch of a new Family-type room for couples with children. The Family room features interconnecting rooms and two separate bedrooms and is considered ideal for couples that wish to combine privacy with unique family moments. It is decorated with natural materials, including stone, neutral hues and discreet lighting, which adds warmth to the interior. Furthermore, clean simple lines and contemporary design are combined with elements of the Cycladic architecture to create the perfect relaxing atmosphere. The room also offers anatomical mattresses, a mini bar and LCD TVs. “We have managed to gradually improve the guest experience by renewing our rooms, while maintaining the island’s traditional architecture with the distinctive white and blue colors of the Cycladic islands, also offering authentic Amorgian hospitality,” said the hotel’s Managing Director, Despina Giannakopoulou. “We want our guests to know how much we care for them and enjoy our services which are combined with the rooms’ comfort and aesthetics. We start the new season renewed, thrilled and ready to welcome our guests with a warm smile,” she added. Vigla Hotel is located in the traditional village of Tholaria, on Amorgos. Overlooking the bay of Aegiali, it offers sunny rooms with private balcony or porch in true Cycladic style, modern facilities, a free wifi connection and breathtaking views.
