A private marketing company for Greek tourism, Marketing Greece launched the campaign on July 14, with the aim to promote the country to foreign markets. According to an announcement, every traveler can share unique moments and little-known experiences, which reveal the distinctive features of each destination -that only locals know about – and its identity. “We strongly believe that each one of us can significantly contribute to Greece’s promotion. We often discuss with friends and acquaintances, sharing information on tourism destinations, revealing little secrets – like a tavern where you can gaze at the sea and indulge in authentic flavors, a cove or even a spot offering stunning sunset views. Greece offers many hidden surprises and our aim is to share them with the international travel community in order to attract the interest of travelers,” said Marketing Greece CEO Ioanna Dretta. The new campaign will be launching a new theme every 15 days throughout the summer, calling on internet users to share travel tips and photo material through the campaign’s page by filling in the participation form; the facebook page of Marketing Greece and the Instangram, also using the hashtags #ShareYourGreece and #weareALLmarketingGreece. The first theme refers to Greece’s beaches and includes hidden coves and isolated inaccessible shores that deserve to be discovered. The information gathered will be used for the activities of Marketing Greece with the aim to promote the country abroad.
