According to an announcement, the conference’s focus will be on tourism and the creation of tourist zones in the BSEC countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine and Serbia). “We want Kos to be one of those tourist zones… to pass the message everywhere that Kos is a tourism destination,” Greek Deputy Minister of Tourism Manos Konsolas said on Tuesday during a meeting with the island’s mayor and local bodies. Moreover, the conference, which will welcome the participation of entrepreneurs, will focus on issues concerning business cooperation and financing of tourism investment projects. Further details on the conference are expected to be released soon. The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation is a regional international organization focusing on multilateral political and economic initiatives aimed at fostering cooperation, peace, stability and prosperity in the Black Sea region. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation based in Istanbul, is the inter-parliamentary consultative institution of the organization formed based on the Declaration on the Establishment of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation on February 26, 1993 by 9 founding states.
