Marine Tours, a Greek company offering travel services to the shipping and corporate industry, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary since its establishment in 1980.

Marine Tours’ founders and executives recently celebrated the milestone during an event in Athens, attended by associates, partners and friends.

“At the dawn of our fifth decade, with our strong foundations, long experience, non negotiable values and great team, we renew our commitment to continue evolving and improving our services,” the company’s CEO, Konstantinos Oikonomou, said.

Founded by George Oikonomou, Marine Tours’ first office was located in Piraeus. Its fundamental business objective at that time was to operate in the realm of travel services for shipping companies located around the Piraeus harbor. In 1992, the company expanded to Thessaloniki, Patra and Heraklion, Crete, with new branches.

In 2005, Marine Tours expanded its activities to hotel services and city breaks and in 2014, the company renewed its corporate identity drawing inspiration from its corporate values: creativity, reliability, flexibility, adaptability to new market conditions.

“Marine Tours continues to evolve, thanks to the high level of its human resources and its philosophy of being a strategic partner that embraces the vision of every organization it serves. We are on our way to new milestones, always aiming to provide the best travel services to our customers,” Oikonomou added.

During the event, Marine Tours’ executives cut a birthday cake and celebrated the milestone with music and dancing until the early morning hours.
