Restaurants and catering units inside hotels also were allowed to open their indoor areas for their guests and visitors. The ban on playing music at organized beaches in Greece has been lifted. However, it is recommended for owners of bars and cafes operating in beach areas to avoid holding events that would cause overcrowding. The aforementioned establishments are obliged to comply with social distancing regulations to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 virus. More specifically: – one customer per 2.2 square meters of usable space is allowed – the minimum distance between tables, according to the arrangement of the seats, must be between 0.90 m to 1.80 m – customers are not allowed to crowd around the bar – serving at a buffet must only be done by employees of the establishment, without the customer coming in contact with the serving utensils and food on display – the distance between those served at a buffet is set at 1.5 meters – it is recommended that ready-made packaged food combinations are offered where possible More businesses resume operations On Monday, June 8, internet cafes, dance clubs, discos and similar establishments will be allowed to resume operations. The hygiene measures and physical distancing rules that apply for restaurants will apply for the operation of the aforementioned businesses. For internet cafes, specifically, one customer per 2.2 square meters of usable space is allowed while dividers should be placed between the seats of customers using computers. Moreover, on June 15, Greece’s seasonal hotels, gyms, museums and thermal springs will be back in operation. Amusement parks and theme parks will also resume operations. Children’s camps are expected to open on June 29, while the organization of concerts, conferences and exhibitions will be allowed as of July 1.
