Created by Palladian Communication Specialists and Dasc Branding, Heraklion’s branding strategy received the award in the Branding / Public Relations / People Strategy category. The annual Tourism Awards event, highlights and rewards top practices and innovative initiatives of tourism enterprises and organizations. According to the creators, Heraklion’s new brand identity is based on international practices and aims to highlight the modern image of a unique destination that is constantly evolving. Palladian Communication Specialists and Dasc Branding won the silver award among other competitors from the fields of tourism, advertising, public relations and education. The two companies continue their collaboration with the Municipality of Heraklion, with a focus on creating synergies between enterprises, local and regional tourism bodies, to make Heraklion a leading gastronomy destination. Their cooperation also foresees the destination’s sustainable development and the improvement of significant tourism indicators including seasonality, overnight stays and average per capita expenditure.
