Jet2 runs leisure flights through Jet2.com and package holidays through its tour operator Jet2holidays. The new routes reach 29 summer hot spots including four new and exclusive destinations from Bristol Airport: Kalamata and Lesvos in Greece; Izmir in Turkey; and Costa de Almeria in Spain. “In our first summer of operations from Bristol Airport, we will operate up to 56 weekly flights. A fleet of three based aircraft will fly customers to a wide choice of destinations across mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Greece, Turkey, Italy, Portugal and Madeira,” an announcement by Jet2.com said. Jet2.com & Jet2holidays’ Summer ‘21 Program from Bristol Airport includes a total of 12 Greek destinations: Corfu, Crete (Heraklion), Halkidiki, Kalamata (new), Kefalonia, Kos, Lesvos (new), Preveza, Rhodes, Santorini, Skiathos and Zakynthos. The airline’s first flights will depart from Bristol Airport on 1 April, with the inaugural flight taking holidaymakers to Lanzarote. “The announcement of our 10th UK base reflects our long-term strategy to continue growing our successful business and become the UK’s leading leisure travel business. It also represents a significant investment in the region, including the creation of at least 200 new jobs,” said Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays. There are 11 destinations also on sale for winter 2021/22, offering holidaymakers in the region choice and flexibility when it comes to reaching sun and ski destinations across Europe, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean.
