The Region of Attica and the Attica Wine and Food Experience Product Club recently signed a cooperation agreement to promote the region as a wine, gastronomy and cultural tourism destination.

“We work systematically and collectively to win the battle against the coronavirus pandemic. We need to transform our experience into knowledge and actions, and set new foundations for tourism,” Attica Governor George Patoulis said.

The agreement also includes promotional actions to promote Attica’s agricultural products.

“Attica offers significant competitive advantages. Through targeted initiatives and actions, we must promote the premium products of the Attica land, as well as its wine routes,” Patoulis added.

“Attica Wine and Food Experience” President Maria Alifrangi thanked the governor for the initiative, highlighting that such actions actively prove the region’s interest to promote the area as a “tourism destination offering a wide range of experiences”.

The agreement foresees, among others, the design of a digital wine map for Attica; the implementation of actions that will promote local wine products and routes; the promotion of Attica’s wines in Greece and abroad; the organization of wine tasting events; and events to showcase the competitive advantages of Attica’s wine and gastronomy.
