2022 Year in Review Greece Launches New Summer Tourism Campaign: ‘You Will Want to Stay Forever!’ by GTP editing team 30 May 2022 written by GTP editing team 30 May 2022 2 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 43 The Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) on Monday launched its latest global campaign, which is inspired by a true story and based on the experience of a person who visited Greece as a tourist and decided to stay forever. The GNTO’s new summer tourism campaign focuses on the emotions one feels when visiting Greece and through storytelling, passes on the message: that sometimes it just takes one holiday in Greece to make one realize that they just found their new home. “A true story this year becomes the focus of our content, which touches on the feelings of travelers and centers on the authenticity of destination Greece. An identity and authenticity so strong that they will make the visitor think of staying in our country forever,” GNTO’s secretary general, Dimitris Fragakis, said. The new campaign features Otto, an Austrian man, who visited Greece many years ago but decided to stay in the country permanently. “Τhe peace, simplicity and beauty he experienced, led him to stay, work, start a family in Greece, and eventually change his life forever,” Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias said. The new creative, with the message “Greece: You Will Want To Stay Forever”, is the latest installment in the GNTO’s main “All You Want is Greece” campaign and follows the organization’s previous “Greece Does Have a Winter” and “Greekend” campaigns. “Our summer campaign, following our successful winter and citybreak campaigns, is another part of our strategy to have a successful tourism season this year,” Kikilias said. Supported by the Onassis Foundation, the promotion of the new summer tourism campaign has already begun in target markets for Greek tourism. The promotional video was produced by advertising, marketing, and public relations agency Ogilvy. Reply Jinty Carrino 31 May 2022 - 12:43 We know exactly what the Austrian man felt when he landed in Greece. We sailed from Scotland to seek new lands but when we found Rhodes, Greece we knew this was our final destination when we found a tiny home in a sleepy little harbour called Kamiros Skala. It was sad and needed some love and attention and I think it was made for us. Sadly our wonderful son passed away in 2018. He was a pilot and often flew into Rhodes Airport and he loved the place too. Before he left us asked that we move to this beautiful island. We sold everything in Scotland and moved here to start our new life in the middle of an olive grove. It is beautiful and we want to share this special place so we are building an ‘Off Grid’ Dome Home in the olive grove. Its the first one on Rhodes and we’re delighted to offer the chance to like minded couples an opportunity to experience life away from towns and cities, to hear the Birdsong in the morning and to swim in the Blue Agean Sea a few meters away. We have Free gas from our biogas system, hot water from solar and locally grown food in abundance. Was it the right choice to move to Greece! You bet Welcome to Greece Reply Leave a Reply to Jinty Carrino Cancel Reply Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment. Δ
