Destinations news ‘Peloponnese Food Stories’ on August 7 in Koroni, Messinia by GTP editing team 4 August 2022 written by GTP editing team 4 August 2022 2 comments Share 0FacebookTwitterLinkedinWhatsappEmail 24 The town of Koroni in Messinia on Sunday, August 7, will host the Peloponnese Food Stories, a culinary festival promoting the Peloponnese region’s rich gastronomy. The food festival will include an exhibition of local products; cooking sessions; olive oil and wine tasting events; experiential activities for children; and a concert at sea. Scheduled to take place at 8pm, the Koroni event is organized by the Peloponnese Region in collaboration with the Municipality of Pylos-Nestoros, the Messinia Chamber, the Messinia Hoteliers Association and other organizations, with the support of the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation and the Maniatakeion Foundation. Koroni, a Greek destination recognized by UNESCO as an Ambassador of the Mediterranean diet, will be the second stop of the Peloponnese Food Stories. The first event took place late July in Areopoli, Lakonia, where local producers served cheese, cold cuts, wines, olive oil and dried figs. The festival’s aim is to promote the culinary traditions of each destination; highlight their cultural value and connection with gastronomy; and establish a commercial communication channel between producers and visitors. Other cities expected to host the Peloponnese Food Stories are Astros Kynourias, Ermionida and Loutraki. Kali orexi, kalo kalokairi ! Reply kathryn radford 5 August 2022 - 15:16 Thank you for sharing information about this event.
