More than 200 hundred routes, including five to Greek destinations, will be part of Scandinavian Airlines’ (SAS) recently announced 2023 summer program. “We are pleased to present our program for this summer, and we are delighted to see a continuous increase in demand for travel,” said Erik Westman, SAS’ EVP & CCO, Network and Revenue management, in a company announcement. The airline’s new summer program, with more than 5,000 weekly flights to over 100 destinations, will continue to expand on major domestic, Scandinavian and international routes as demand for travel is expected to continue to increase in 2023. Photo Source: Wanderlust Greece As far as Greece is concerned, summer 2023 will see Copenhagen connected to Athens, Thessaloniki, Corfu, Chania and Rhodes; flights scheduled from Oslo to Athens and Chania; Stockholm linked to Athens, Chania and Thessaloniki; and Gothenburg connected to Athens. Furthermore, Westman added that the airline’s summer offering will see several new destinations as well with expanded capacity to already existing popular summer destinations, with SAS’ overall capacity to the Mediterranean set to exceed pre-pandemic levels. The airline’s summer traffic program is set to include a major capacity expansion to Italy as well as nine new European destinations including Antalya, Catania, Larnaca and Nice.
