Passenger traffic at all Greek airports during the first 11 months of the year recorded an “all-time record”, with an increase of almost ten percent compared to the full-year result of 2022, the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA) said on Friday.

Citing provisional data of November 2023 and January-November 2023 for all airports of Greece, the HCAA said there is a record increase in passenger traffic and flights, compared to the corresponding periods of both 2022 and 2019.

More specifically, after analyzing the provisional data, HCAA said an “all-time record” was recorded at the country’s airports as it appears that passenger traffic during January-November 2023 topping 2022 full-year results by 9.6 percent.

The January-November 2023 period saw 69,771,387 passengers handled at Greek airports against 63,672,121, which was the total amount of passengers in the year 2022.
