In collaboration with Greece’s Public Employment Service (DYPA), which aims to create effective matching of labour supply and demand, and supported by the European Online Job Days platform , the career day event will focus exclusively on the fields of tourism, hospitality and catering. According to an announcement, the main purpose of the event is to match Greek and European jobseekers with businesses of Greece’s tourism industry that are seeking staff for the next summer tourism season. Applicants can submit their registration by logging in the platform www.europeanjobdays.eu, where they can upload their CV, identify employment opportunities and also receive updates regarding the labour market status in Greece. Greek employers looking for staff can create a profile (registration or login) on the same platform and have access to a huge CV pool of persons interested in working in Greece during the 2024 summer season. During the online event participants will be able to: – watch a presentation on the labour market in Greece – watch presentations of businesses seeking staff – watch the presentation of the myDYPAlive tool of DYPA – give online interviews with businesses – take part in the workshops “How to create an effective CV?” and “How to effectively prepare for a job interview” – chat with employers and DYPA EURES counsellors using the online chat tool The European EURES Network (EURopean Employment Services) was established in 1994 to coordinate the transnational workers’ mobility policy in line with the European Union’s basic principle of the free movement of workers. The network promotes the cooperation between the European Labour Authority (ELA) and the Public Employment Services in the European Union. Its main role is to provide information and counselling and matching services but also to support jobseekers seeking work in another EU country, while helping employers find suitable candidates.
