Photo source: Visit Greece. Athens is one of the top travel destinations this summer for travelers from the United States, according to data from Google Flights. The Greek capital was included on the list of top destinations for summer 2024 released recently by Google Flights and based on searches by Americans for travel between June 1 and August 31. According to the list, Athens ranked 10th as a “hot summer destination”. The city was also included among the 10 most popular European destinations for spring break according to data by AirDNA. London topped Google Flights’ best list as the most popular destination and Paris, the host city of the upcoming Summer Olympics, came in second. Tokyo climbed to third place from the eighth last year. Rome came in fourth on the list, followed by New York (5th), Cancun (6th), Orlando (7th), Las Vegas (8th), and Seattle (9th). Madrid and San Juan, Puerto Rico, entered the top 20 for the first time, at 18 and 20, respectively. London, Tower Bridge.
