The development of key tourism and cultural resources, as well as infrastructure and available lands in the Peloponnese, was the focus of a recent meeting between Regional Governor Dimitris Ptochos and officials from Growthfund, Greece’s national investment fund.

The regional authority of the Peloponnese is collaborating with Growthfund officials to improve the quality of life for local residents, enhance the tourism experience, boost the regional economy, and advance sustainable tourism development.

Attendees at the meeting included Growthfund CEO Grigoris Dimitriadis and Hellenic Public Properties CEO Iro Hadzigeorgiou.

During the meeting, discussions centered on enhancing and promoting notable sites around the Corinth Canal, which holds significant historical and tourism value. Plans for upgrading infrastructure and showcasing the renowned Diros Cave in southern Peloponnese were also addressed.
