The event’s two sunny days offered perfect conditions for long-distance running, creating a festive atmosphere not only in Athens but across the Attica region.

Additional races of up to 10 kilometers allowed families, couples, and international tourists to join in, some dressed in outfits inspired by ancient Greece and others wearing their national colors.

This year’s marathon medals were designed by renowned Greek artist Kostas Tsoklis, adding an artistic touch to the celebration of endurance and unity in sport.
