Autohellas-Hertz is in the process of carrying out a major 13-million-euro investment to increase its electric vehicle fleet for rent-a-car services.

According to a company announcement, the company recently completed an initial investment of 3 million euros and added various electric car models for all needs to its fleet, which includes vehicles such as the Fiat 500 BEV and the TESLA Model 3.

“Our goal is to exceed 200 electric vehicles in a year under a total investment of 13 million euros. One hundred years ago, Hertz launched the rent-a-car service and we must evolve it, constantly offering better quality and more environmentally friendly solutions and services such as Electric Rent and Electric Lease,” said Dimitris Maggioros, deputy director general at Authohellas-Hertz.

It should be noted that Autohellas-Hertz managed to complete its initial 3-million-euro investment despite the adverse conditions caused by the Covid-19  pandemic, making it the first Greek car rental company to proceed with such a move since 2019, highlighting the company’s focus on electric mobility.

At the same time, the move has a strong environmental significance as Autohellas-Hertz is forming a fleet that will make a significant contribution to environmental protection, ensuring zero emissions, very limited noise footprint, reduced consumption and excellent driving performance.

Through this innovative technology, Autohellas-Hertz aims to further enhance its environmental footprint and offer its customers multiple benefits in their driving experience.
