Attica Group’s New Catamarans Start Routes to Saronic Gulf Islands

Attica Group recently launched its three new Aero highspeed catamarans on the Saronic Gulf Islands line.

Built at Brødrene Aa shipyard of Norway, the three new catamarans will offer up to 17 daily connections between the port of Piraeus and the islands of Aegina, Agistri, Poros, Hydra, Spetses, and the towns of Ermioni and Porto Heli in East Peloponnese.

Attica Group’s total investment reached 21 million euros and was covered by own funds and bank financing.

The new, state-of-the-art Aeros boast an ultra-modern design and innovative features that are expected to significantly upgrade the travel experience for the over 3 million passengers that travel annually on the Saronic routes.

Each vessel at full load has a maximum speed of 32,2 knots, total length 36 meters, width 9.7 meters and carrying capacity of 150 passengers.

According to Attica Group, the innovative interior layout guarantees an upgraded service to passengers, offering a comfortable trip even in rough seas, a spacious passenger accommodation area, a dedicated area for bicycle transportation and air-conditioned kennels for pets.
