Located in the center of Athens, the NJV hotel was recognized for its commitment to environmental protection, safety and energy management and received three prestigious ISO certifications for its best practices in these areas. The hotel has established best environmental practices and continuously trains its staff on these issues. In this context its suppliers and partners are also required to be ISO 14001 certified or follow environmentally friendly practices. To support these practices, the NJV Athens Plaza uses local products to support the local economy and reduce the use of transport. Furthermore, it implements efficient food processes, and uses energy-efficient lighting and heating and cooling systems. Also, the hotel’s staff has been trained to manage its waste effectively. The hotel also aims to increase productivity by reducing workplace accidents and illnesses and improving procedures by identifying hazards in the hotel workplace.
