Sumosan is a multi-award-winning, critically acclaimed contemporary Japanese restaurant, hailed by the international press as the “favorite restaurant of A-list celebrities,” with locations in cities like London, Dubai and Berlin. Known for serving an exceptional standard of modern Japanese cuisine, Sumosan Elounda will be the eighth restaurant of the ultra-luxury chain, located in a unique seaside spot with tables placed near or directly over the sea. Sumosan Elounda will serve authentic Japanese dishes with a modern twist, following the restaurant’s primary philosophy of respecting traditional culinary techniques. “We are proud of our collaboration with Sumosan and the opening of their first restaurant in Greece. Sumosan’s philosophy and modus operandi are based on the same principles and values that made Elounda such a popular destination around the world,” said Elounda Peninsula’s owners spokesperson Elias Kokotos. The new restaurant will add to the already impressive culinary offerings of Elounda Peninsula All Suite Hotel, which is also home to the famous Il Borro Tuscan Bistro of the Ferragamo family. In 2023, the Kokotou family completed the scheduled renovation of the hotel, a 20 million euros investment. With the addition of Sumosan Elounda, the hotel becomes the first Greek resort with two international award-winning restaurants in its premises, cementing its position as a top luxury destination in Greece.
